Halloween spider cakes

When I was a lot smaller my Mum had a Cadburys halloween recipe book and me and my sisters loved it!
For as long as I can remember we requested spider cakes and other yummy things!
Fast forward a good 15 years, and I've spent the last couple of years showing people how to make spider cakes and here is my version:

You will need

Cadburys chocolate fingers
Chocolate covered teacakes (for the body)
Chocolate mini rolls (for the head)
Buttercream icing
And things to decorate, eyes etc

These spiders are hard to move once made so I suggest making them on whatever you wish to serve them on

Start by cutting a mini roll in half and placing it next to a teacake to give the spider body shape. Cover the body in the buttercream icing.

Next cut the chocolate fingers in half, then join 2 halves together to make a knee using the icing (you can angle the cuts to give a smoother shape), then stick the leg into postition on the body. Make as many legs as you like.

Then decorate your spider and enjoy, it's great fun and kids of all ages (!) will love them

Everyone's spiders and the pumpkins

Don't forget your pumpkins! Hope you all have a lovely spooky weekend
